David M. Taylor

Workshop

David cannot remember a time in his life without fabric.  He began sewing at the age of 10 when he designed and made his Halloween costume.  It was a first-place winner at his Cub Scout meeting.  The prize was a small frosted cake.  Now David is “semi-retired” from a career as a computer graphic artist and teaches applique and quilting techniques across the US (47 states) and around the world (5 countries on 3 continents).

In addition to the cake that he was awarded for his Halloween costume, David has won numerous quilting awards, including:

Fairfield Master Award for Contemporary Quilting - International Quilt Association (2006, 2014)

Brother Wall Machine Workmanship Award – American Quilters Society (2008)

Directors Award – Road to California (2022)

Best of Show – International Quilt Association (2007, 2008)
